MVL series - vertical machining centers with long X axis travel

The MVL series vertical machining centers with moving column and fixed table are designed to obtain the maximum rigidity and reliability. They are particularly suitable for manufacturing longer work pieces. The full X axis the machines have a usable work surface from 1,500 up to 6,000 mm. in length making the machines ideal for longer parts without comparable increases in Y and Z axes. They have high power AC spindle drives giving them the strength to be used as powerful milling machines.

There are many bed lengths of machine avaialable to suit the customers exact requirements. These machines can also equipped with a central guard to allow them to be used as a pendulum non-stop manufacturing system. This eliminates idle time caused by loading and unloading therefore maximizing the use of the machine whether for the production of medium-large size batches or small lots of various pieces.

The latest computer aided technology has produced a machine frame which guarantees stability and rigidity even under heavy working conditions. The x-y-z feed is obtained by brushiess AC servo motors connected with high precision ball screws; for the x axis the machine has a rotary nut screw.

For highest efficiency all the MVL machines can be built with a twin spindle configuration (DS series) which gives double the output compared to the standard machine. This also features a double toolchange system with 2 x 20 (optional 36) tool positions.

The MVL series can also be supplied with a wide range of CNC systems: Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain which enables it to be adapted to real working conditions depending on the end user's requirements.
